Christmas has been and gone and finally.... I have my bag. This is the best gift I was given this year thanks to my mum and dad!

Fountain

So,with the promise of these wonderful beauty molecules that were going to make me more beautiful.... I thought I'd give it a go.

Did it work, I can safely say no, no it did not. I have included a before (top shot) and after picture with no makeup in either picture (clearly). 

I have consumed the bottle. I don't think my skin looks any better, nor do I look any more beautiful! This product is a bust, boo!

Asos yellow and black

I wore this dress for the first time today. I adore this dress! It is shows off all my curve. This is my first dress that how has a cow neck, I think it looked good! 

Victory is mine!

Over the weekend I went to a very good friends birthday party. I decided that I wanted to try a new hair style. As I was playing with my hair and thought what hair style would go with my outfit and it came to me, victory roll. But they are notoriously tricky.... For me at least. I had a bit if time so I thought I'd give it a go. In under five minutes I did it. So impressed with myself! Not the best but amazing for me!!

So I decided to go on one of those studio photo days, I am quite pleased how they turned out. 

I intend to use them for my application for miss plus size international. If it's the same as last year I need one full length picture. Just need to decide which one!

When I was younger, I use to go to my Nan and Grandad's when they lived in Norfolk. I would normally go for the six weeks holiday, two weeks my Mum and Dad would be there and the other four weeks my brother and I would be left there. Of course I remember there being some separation anxiety from being away from my parents but when I look back I can now blame my Nan with my love for vintage and thrifty shopping.

We would always go to the charity shops and where my brother would be looking at the toys, I would be looking at all the dresses, I was allowed to play dress up! I sadly do not have any pictures but I do remember them well!

I once again have been on bay and I have won some potential gems.

I have many other bid on the go! Exciting!

I Bought this bag the other week as one of my friends saw it and fell in love with it, he insisted I bought the same as he did. I chose the red one. The only question I have is, is it a fox or an owl?

The Cambridge Satchel Company

Very excited as the order has gone in for my Cambridge satchel. I have been wanting one for ages. I was toying for ages with the colour but I saw this the one! Excited!

“You’re too pretty to be so fat!”

I decided to give Acupuncture a go for weight loss as I have decided that I need to be healthier. I have absolutely no intention of loosing masses of weight. I never want to get below a dress UK size 16.  I love the idea of alternative therapies so I thought I would give it a go. I felt in the end I had paid £35 to be verbally abused. This man could not understand that I was losing weight to be healthier, he would agree and then add on the end, “but you will look better!”

 So at the point you are meant to be laying there with all the pins in you, being serene and one with your thoughts in a meditative state of mine. His parting words when he left me, “Lay here for 30 minutes and relax...... You are a beautiful girl...... You’re too pretty to be so fat! See you in 30 minutes” How am I now meant to relax?

I have survived many other hurtful comments made to me regarding my weight and appearance but this comment felt like the knife had been twisted. I have been reeling from this comment for nearly two weeks now and I am so annoyed that this comment has affected me so much. I struggle to think of a word that describes this back handed complement, rude? Just does not cut the mustard in this case. Spiteful? Sadly I know from the way he said it, that this was not his intention.

If there was no health implication to me being overweight then I can say hand on heart, I wouldn’t lose a pound! Despite what others clearly think of my appearance, I don’t look at myself in the mirror in disgust or horror, I think I look OK. Many years I have dealt with other people telling me how I should look. I just cannot hack random people whom it is none of their business to tell me their negative opinion. I would NEVER go up to some random in the street and tell them that they are ugly, they have a big nose, big ears or that they are too thin! To be completely honest, my brain just doesn’t work like that. When I am walking around I am either in my own world singing in my head to whatever I am listening to on my iPod or I am looking around at what people are wearing and thinking, “I like that bag! I like those shoes! I would wear that if it was in a different colour!”

I don’t think I will ever get my head around this comment. When I tell people this incident as with any story I tell, I make it funny and in hindsight I do see the amusing side. Saying this, this has changed things for me now, just need to make this into a positive. I will just let this incident heal, scab over, but I think a little scar will remain.

Polka dot

I went on holiday recently on a cruise around Spain, it was a lot of fun! What was also good was there you have formal evening were you get all dressed up.
So for the trip I took one of my dresses that never fail, this lovely polka dot dress that I bought from ebay. I love the rockabilly style and I am very excited that at my brothers wedding I get to pic out a brand new rockabilly dress!

Evans Beth Ditto Dress/top

So more items have arrived from my ebay spree. This is a dress from evans from the Beth Ditto collection. I adore this dress, it is made so well and I love the sequin pattern. It is a little too short for it to be a dress so I have teamed it up with some legging and a pink cardigan which is from Littlewoods.

Miss BBW International

This is the dream, I have wanted to apply for the last two years but sadly life got in the way!
At the end of this year, I will have completed my degree course and fingers crossed be settled in a good job. After all that, I have made the discussion that I will definitely be applying for Miss BBW International 2014.
I have a year to beautify myself!

Holiday swimwear!

So, I am very excited as it is only a few more weeks now until I head off on holiday. I have started buying holiday clothes including some new swimwear.
